Since the beginning of the academic year, Class 4 have been working in conjunction with the National Holocaust Centre. This has involved undertaking workshops with some of the Centre's staff, a visit to the National Holocaust Centre (located at Laxton, near Newark on Trent) and then preparing an assembly to allow the children to inform their parents of everything they had learnt. Throughout the entire project, the children have concentrated on the issue of discrimination, in particular 'Leo's Journey'. This is based on the journey that thousands of German Jewish children made just prior to the outbreak of World War II, from Germany to the United Kingdom. Please view the gallery below to see some photographs of our children at the presentation assembly.
