Acorn Adventure Residental Visit
Class 3 loved their residential trip to Acorn Adventure near West Midlands Safari Park. The best part was hearing the lions roaring at night. When we got there, we settled into our tipi, hand lunch and then we completed a climbing activity and archery.
After we had tea and went a long woodland walk. Just before bed, we enjoyed a warm hot chocolate around the camp fire.
The next day (after an earlier wake up) we completed the blind night line trail and mission impossible, which was a series of team challenges.
After lunch, we went to West Midlands Safari park. We loved seeing the animals, going on the rides and the workshop where we met a grass snake, a hissing cockroach and a chinchilla.
Before marshmallows around the camp fire, we participated in an activity called camouflage concealment. First, we changed into our best camouflage outfit, then we put on face paint and collected leaves. Next, we played a giant game of hide and seek and the instructors had to find us.
The next morning we packed up our belongings and headed back to the bus. We had the best trip ever and we made so many memories that we will never forget.
